Diamond Head, Hawaii

Just over a kilometer in diameter, the tuff ring of Diamond Head sits at the edge of Honolulu.

This site goes a little overboard, but provides a good description.

The earliest depicting Diamond Head is the first stamp issued in 1894.

The next (courtesy of Ed Benson) is an envelope cut-out US U3

The stamp below (courtesy of Jon Fishback) was issued March 26th, 1952

The stamps below were issued April 4th, 2002 and October 25th, 2002.

Diamond Head can just be made out over the head of Duke Kahanamoku in the next stamp.
