The Smithsonian Catalog lists the volcano named Niseko as
being a synonym for Iwaonupuri.
The volcano is located on the Japanese Island of Hokkaido.
There have been no historic eruptions.
The mountain is simply listed as a Holocene stratovolcano.
The stamp below (courtesy of Bob Hohertz) was issued in 1965
to celebrate
the Niseko-Shakutan-Otaru coastal Quasi National Park.
In Scott catalog it is described as Niseko-Annupuri.
Thanks also to Dave Frick for helping to figure out where
this was located.
