Koryaksky is a stratovolcano, part of the Avanchinskaya Group,
which overlooks the city of Petropavlovsk.
Its first historically recorded eruption was in 1895.
It subsequently erupted in 1926 and 1956.
It rises to a height of 3,456 m.
