The only recorded eruption on Saint Lucia was of Qualibou in 1766 with a VEI of magnitude 1.

The stamp illustrated below was issued on December 16th 1902 to mark the fourth centenary of the discovery of the Island by Christopher Columbus. It shows "The Pitons."
