Mikeno is (was) located in Uganda at approximately 1.4 S 29.4
E.
It is part of the Bufumbira Volcanic field, situated in the
western branch of the East African Rift Valley.
Radiometric dating indicates the volcano to have been active
from 2.6 to 0.2 Ma.
The stamp illustrated below was issued by Rwanda in 1966.
