Molokai is composed of three volcanoes.

West Molokai ( also known as Mauna Loa) dates from about 1.8 Myrs ago

East Molokai (Wailau) dates from about 1.3 Myrs.

Kalaupapa on the north of the island probably dates to 0.34 Myrs.

The entire island is volcanically dead and is continuously slipping into the sea.

The stamp below was issued in 2006 and shows the coastline eroded by ocean waves

and denuded by collapse into the ocean.
