"Momotombo" actually Coat of Arms depicting five
volcanoes.
Overprinted with "Costa Atlantica C." for Cabo Gracias
a Dios.
A seaport town on the northeast coast of Nicaragua.
The name literally means "Cape thanks to God"
So named because sailors were thankful for finally finding
a harbour.
Special stamps were necessary because it and Zelaya used a
silver currency while the rest of the country used paper
The stamps were issued in 1907, these were printed by Waterlow
& Sons.
