Located on the border between Uganda and Rwanda.
Regarded as two separate volcanoes on the stamp,
namely Gahinga (small pile of stones) and Muhabura but listed
as Muhavura (the guide) in Smithsonian Catalog.
Regarded as an extinct volcano at the eastern end of the Virunga
mountains.
A former crater lake on Gahinga is now a swamp.
Muhavura rises to a height of 4127 m.
Together they form part of the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
