Volcan Poas, Costa Rica
The volcano is a National Park in Costa Rica and access is
relatively easy.
Though access to the crater interior is prohibited.
The volcano has been the site of numerous eruptions with a
VEI of 2, or less, in the last 150 years.
The airmail stamps illustrated below were issued in 1937.

The first stamp of Costa Rica (plate 2), below, shows Volcan
Poas and Irazu.
The next is a fake surcharge of the same stamp overprinted
in red in 1882

The next are the first four stamps of Costa Rica, this time,
plate 1.

The next two stamps were issued in 2004 and 2005.
They differ in the name of the printer, Gozaka S.A. and LIL
S.A.
