The Po Pin Chau tuff occupies the eastern part of Hong Kong
and some offshore islands.
These were emplaced about 140 million years ago during the
Jurassic/Cretaceous.
The following stamp depicts part of the coastline and a close-up
of columnar structure.
The stamp was issued in 2002.
Thermography, has been applied to this set of stamps during
the printing process.
This involves putting a layer of transparent thermographic
powder to the stamp sheet before the ink dries.
