San Pedro is one of three volcanoes on the shore of Lake Atitlan
in Guatemala.
Unfortunately the stamp catalogs have the wrong lake and the
wrong volcano.
"Described as a view of Lake Amatitlán, but in
Guatemala Filatelica for February-March, 1959, Oswaldo V. Pellecer
points out that in fact
the view is of Lake Atitlán, the volcano being San Pedro. There is
no volcano on the shore of
Amatitlán. The error is repeated on the 50c of 1929, but the lake
(with San Pedro in the
background) is correctly described as Atitlán on the 3c air mail
of 1950."
Many thanks to Eric Dyck for pointing out this error to me.

In the following stamps the shaft of the bow hides the distinctive
summit region
but I have convinced myself it is a representation of San
Pedro.
