Most recent eruption cycle began on March 27th 1980, reaching
a climax on May 18th, 1980
with a magnitude 5+ eruption. Smaller eruptions continued
into the 1990's.
The USA has never issued a stamp to commemorate the event,
but there are plenty of covers.
