Tateyama, Honshu, Japan

The third highest mountain in Japan.

A possible eruption is recorded for 1858.

A definite eruption took place in 1839 at Jigoku-dani.

The stamps below were issued as part of 1952-62 air mail postage

They were preceded in 1951-52 by the same stamps with the value underlined.

The following stamp was issued on 10th August, 1972

to commemorate Chubu Sangaku National Park

The following souvenir sheet was issued by Ghana in 2002.

Tateyama is the upper left stamp but occupies most of the sheet exterior to the stamps.
