Tateyama, Honshu, Japan
The third highest mountain in Japan.
A possible eruption is recorded for 1858.
A definite eruption took place in 1839 at Jigoku-dani.

They were preceded in 1951-52 by the same stamps with the
value underlined.

The following souvenir sheet was issued by Ghana in 2002.
Tateyama is the upper left stamp but occupies most of the
sheet exterior to the stamps.
