Ua Pou, a volcanic island in the Marquesas.
One of the smaller islands of the northern group.
Judging by the degree of erosion illustrated on the stamp
below, it is probably extinct.
Like the Hawaiian Island, probably the result of a "hot
spot".

The same image was issued again in 1986 redrawn.
The most obvious difference is Cartor instead of Delrieu in
bottom right corner.
